Alexis “Lexi” Gen Pillsbury, 19, of Petersburg, went
to fly with the angels on July 24, 2011, due to
injuries sustained in an ATV accident in Missouri.
She was born on February 24, 1992, the
daughter of Doug and Teresa Stark Pillsbury.
Lexi will be greatly missed by her parents; two
sisters, Meghan and Britanie Pillsbury; her brother
Chandler Pillsbury; grandparents Earl and Gerrie
Pillsbury and Buck and Rita Stark (Quincy, IL); and
many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and her dog
Nala. She will be especially missed by April, Tony,
Matthew, and Daken Davenport who she was living with
while going to college.
Lexi was a 2009 graduate of PORTA High school and
was attending Heartland Community College in
Bloomington, IL with plans to become an elementary
school teacher. She worked at Gold’s Gym in
Bloomington and enjoyed working out. Lexi was a
member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Petersburg,
IL.
Visitation for Lexi will be held on Wednesday, July
27, from 5 to 7 pm at Hurley Funeral Home in
Petersburg. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on
Thursday, July 28, at St. Peter Catholic Church.
Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Memorial
contributions may be made to PORTA Fitness Center or
UNDERCOVER Helmet Program c/o Childrens Hospital of
Illinois Foundation.
Hurley Funeral Home of Petersburg is in charge of
arrangements.
