Anna Hayden

(1917 - 2011)

Anna M. Hayden, 94, of Petersburg passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2011 at St. John’s Hospice. She was born on August 8, 1917  in Victoria, IL to George and Clara (Weedman) Secrist. She married Ray Hayden. He preceded her in death on February 11, 1974.

She is survived by three daughters, Barbara Crain of Peoria, Valerie Lynn of Washington, IL, and Diana Roberts of Petersburg; eight grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren; and special friends, Cammy and Whitney.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and two brothers, David and William.

Anna was a homemaker and the former owner and operator of Petersburg Gamble Store. She was a member First Baptist Church of Petersburg and was an avid Chicago White Sox fan.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 28, 2011 at 11:00 am at Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg with Rev. Dan Roseberry officiating. Visitation will be held on hour prior to the funeral services. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Petersburg.
