Bernice Tomlin (1913-2008)
Bernice Cathrin Hull Tomlin, 95 of Mason City died at 5:08am, Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at the Mason City Area Nursing Home. She was born in Mason City on February 25, 1913 the daughter of Alonzo and Matilda (Kuhn) Hull. She married Kenneth Tomlin on February 27, 1941 in Ottumwa, Iowa. He died April 23, 1993. Survivors are one daughter: Carlene (Don) Gunterman; two grandchildren: Jason Gunterman of Easton and Angela (David) McGinnis of Mason City; one great-grandson: Landon. Mrs. Tomlin is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth, five brothers and one sister. Mrs. Tomlin was a member of the Easton United Methodist Church and the Easton’s Women’s Club. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday March 28, 2008 at the Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Rev. Al Sample will officiate. Burial will follow the services at Easton Cemetery. Hurley funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be left to the Mason City Area Nursing Home.
