Betsy Jean Griffie 51 of 12007 CR 300 N. Chandlerville, IL. died June 14, 2005 at 6:15 p.m. at her residence. She was born on June 15, 1953 in Beardstown, IL to James Allen Dennis and Fannie May Park and married John E. "Jack" Griffie on June 21, 1969 in Chandlerville, IL., he survives. She is survived by her mother Fannie Dennis of San Leon, TX., 1 son John E. (Shawna) Griffie, IL., 3 daughters Teresa(Mick) Robison of Chandlerville, IL., Alisha Nelson of Chandlerville, IL., and Tracy (Luke) Bieneman of Havana, IL., also surviving is 6 grandchildren and 4 sisters- Jane(Filberto) Gonzalez of Pasadena, TX., Nancy Douglas of San Leon, TX., Donna Newman of San Leon, TX., and Kim Parker of Meredosia, IL.. She was preceeded in death by her father and one son- Derek. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Chandlerville, IL., the AFL-CIO Local #38- Union Steward. She also was an avid bingo player and loved flowers, gardening and grandchildren. She worked as a Mental Health Technician. Services were held on June 17, 2005 at the Bethel Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. in Chandlerville, IL. with a visitation from 5-8 on June 16 at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana, IL. Memorials may be made to Jack Griffie Family for Medical Expenses c/o Petefish Skiles. |
