Carter W. Morgan

1932 - 2011

Carter W. Morgan, 79 of Springfield passed away on August 16, 2011 at Villa Health Care East in Sherman. Born in Oakford on August 2, 1932, the son of John and Geraldine (Carter) Morgan.

Carter is survived by his companion Darlene Lee, siblings James E. (Cheryl) Morgan, Pekin, IL; John “Danny” (Dorothy) Morgan, Petersburg, IL; Janet (Charles) Krumholz, Morton, IL; Charles (Janet) Morgan, Tallula, IL; Audrey (Robert) Lacey, Bath, IL; Sandra Coleman, Downers Grove, IL and 5 nieces and 5 nephews. He is predeceased by his parents and his brother Donald Morgan.

Carter worked for Cargill Grain in Havana for over 30 years.

Graveside services will be Thursday, August 18, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in Oakford Cemetery with the Rev. John Vidakovich officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Oakford United Methodist Church. Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg is in charge of arrangements.
