Clara Isabelle Walker 86 of 609 N. Harpham Havana, IL., formerly of Belleville died June 20, 2005 at 12:45 p.m. at the Havana Healthcare Center in Havana, IL.. She was born on October 14, 1918 in Williamson County, IL to William Tracy Helton and Edith Hale and married Orvil Eugene Walker in August 23. 1936 in Carbondale, IL., he died November 12, 1991. She has two sons- Gary Melvin Walker of Larimore, ND. and Steven Vern Walker of Farmington, MO., Also survived by 4 grandchildren- Alicia Ferree, Edie Slater, Eric Walker, Keith Robison, 4 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. 3 sisters- Alyce Holland of LaPorte, TX., Mary Black of Evansville, IN. and Martha Gilson of MI.. She was preceeded in death by 2 sisters-Kathleen Yound and Emily and 4 brothers. She was of the baptist faith and was a member of the Helton Family Singers a family gospel singing group and she was also a homemaker. Services were held on June 25, 2005 at St. Paul's Church of Christ at 1:00 p.m. with an hour before service visitation at her church. Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Church of Christ in Okawville, IL.. |
