Delford L. Lane 88 of 307 W. Walnut St. Kilbourne, IL died August 12, 2005 at 2:15 p.m. in Memorial Medical Center in Springfield IL.. He was born on February 19, 1917 in Kilbourne, IL. to LaRue Lane and Annie Daniel. He married Rowena Sayler on November 2, 1946 in Kilbourne, IL and she survives.

He has one son- Dennis (Kristine) Lane of Lawrence, KS., 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceeded in death by his parents.

He was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Kilbourne, IL. and served in the U.S. Navy in WWII. He was a Mechanical Engineer for the State of Illinois.

Services were held on August 16, 2005 at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church at 10:30 a.m. with a 1 hour before visitation at he church.
