Edward V. Buster Smith 81 of 310 E. Randolph Havana, IL died on April 23, 2005 8:00 a.m. at the Mason District Hospital in Havana, IL.. He was born on November 6, 1923 in Peoria, IL to Edward A. Schmitz and Elanore Sharp. He married Margaret L. Bohm on March 2, 1946 in Peoria, IL., she preceeded him in death on January 12, 1992.

He has one son- Edward A. (Judy) Smithj of Topeka, IL., 3 daughters- Sharlene L. Smith of Havana, IL., Loretta M. (David) Dumontj of Las Vegas, NV., and Margie A. (Don) Kelso of Kingman, AZ.. He has 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister- Francis Smith of Oake Orion, MI.. He was preceeded in death by 10 brothers, 3 sisters, his wife and one daughter.

He was a member of the Episcopalian faith and served in the US. Army Air Corps in WWII. He worked Maintenance for Sunoco Oil and retired in 1969.

There was immediate cremation with the burial of cremains at a later date.
