Elmer S. Blakeley 85 of 621 E. Washington Havana, IL. died on March 17, 2005 at 1:50 p.m. at the Mason City Area Nursing Home in Mason City, IL.. He was born on April 26, 1919 in Kilbourne, IL. to Oscar Blakeley and Anna Kiest and married Glendora VanEtten on June 28, 1940 in Palmyra, MO. she survives. He has two daughters- Mrs. Kenneth(Brenda) Krause of Easton, IL., and Ginger Blakeley (Husband, Giles Blunden) of Chapel Hill, NC. One granddaughter- Kristine Young, and two great grandchildren. Also suriving is one sister-Alice Scovil of Petersburg, IL.. He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Havana, the Mason County Farm Bureau, Havana Optimist Club, and Hardee's Farmer's Coffee Group.

He worked as a farmer.

Services were held on March 21, 2005 at the Hurley Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. with a visitation from 5-7 on Sunday March 20, 2005, at the Hurley Funeral Home.
