Ervin Filer 79 of RR #3 Box 29 Horseshoe Bend Lane Rushville, IL died August 2 2005 at 4:45 p.m. at the Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville, IL. He was born June 8, 1926 in Vandalia, IL to Lester B. Filer and Amelia Straub. He married Nina L. Forsythe on October 21, 1967 in Springfield, IL and she survives.

He has one son- Grant L. Filer of CO., one niece, one nephew, and one grandson. He was preceeded in death by his parents and one sister.

He served in the Navy during WWII and later worked as a supervisor of Land Reclamation of Surface Mining for the US. Department of Interior. He was also a graduate of U of I.

Services were held on August 6, 2005 at 11:30 a.m. at the Rushville Cemetery.
