Harold Huckabee

(1929 - 2012)

Harold Hubert Huckabee, 82, of Petersburg passed away on Monday, January 16, 2012 at 7:10 pm at North Church Nursing and Rehab in Jacksonville. He was born on November 10, 1929 in Anderson, South Carolina to Clarence and Minnie (Hughes) Huckabee. He married Mary Lee Moore, she preceded him in death. He later married Mary A. Majors, she also preceded him in death. He later married Rhonda Brown, she survives.

He is also survived by a son, Steve (Debbie) Huckabee of Mason City; a daughter, Mary Ann (Kevin) Sewell of Jerseyville; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Mr. Huckabee worked as a custodian for the Secretary of State in Springfield for many years. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. He loved to fish and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 20, 2012 at 11:00 am at Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg with Rev. Aaron Blakley officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral services. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to donor’s choice.
