Linda K. Baughman, 63, of Tallula, passed away on February 19, 2012 at her home.

She was born on Novemeber 8, 1948 in Springfrield, IL to Jerry and Louise (Runkle) Atterberry.  She married Larry Niekirk and he preceded her in death, she later married Steven Baughman on August 30, 1996.   

She is survived by her husband Steven of Tallula (formerly Winchester); two children, Sonya Louise Neikirk of Chatham and Justin W. Neikirk of Mattoon; a sister, Patty Little of Petersburg; a favorite niece Paulette Wiant and several other nieces and a nephew and an uncle and aunt.  She is also survived by Shannon Richards and her children and grandchildren who adopted Linda as mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Linda was preceded in death by her two sisters, Helen Rainey and Judy Null.

Linda was a member of the First Baptist Church of Petersburg where she enjoyed working with the youth.  She had worked as a waitress for twenty years at various restaurants and also worked for the Illinois Secretary of State office for 13 years.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church of Petersburg with visitation one hour prior.  Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
