Anne Morris

(1934-2011)

Anne H. Morris, 77, of Petersburg passed away on Monday, November 21, 2011 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born July 12, 1934 in London, England to John and Mary (Sprawson) Hewson. She married Leonard J. “Gramps” Morris on September 26, 1953.

She is survived by her husband, Leonard “Gramps” Morris, of Petersburg; a son, Stephen (Candice) P. Morris of Eden Prairie, Minnesota; two daughters, Sue Anne Marie (Michael) Ganey of Keystone Heights, FL, and Linda Kay (James) Herkert of Petersburg; a brother, John (Wendy) Hewson of London, England; and nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Anne was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church in Petersburg, and was an avid reader.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to your local animal shelter or humane society in Anne’s name.
