Sarah Smock

(1962 - 2011)

Sarah Jane Smock, 48, of Ashland, passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at Maple Ridge Care Center in Lincoln, IL. She was born on December 15, 1962 in Fairbury to Raymond and Susie (Moore) Smock.

She is survived by her mother, Susie Smock of Ashland; brother, Richard L. Smock of Springfield; two sisters, Karen (Robert) Harris of Waverly, and Janet S. (Kevin) Hillyer of Petersburg; two nephews, Raymond L. Gray and Harley E. Gray; two nieces, Amber M. Hillyer and Kelly J. Hillyer; and God son, Wyatt Prater.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Sarah was a member of New Beginnings Church in Ashland. She loved animals and cooking. She collected frog figurines and stuffed animals. Cremation rites have been accorded.

 A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 8, 2011 at noon at the Atterberry Community Baptist Church.
