Easton, IL - Albert K. Krause, Jr., 81. of Easton, IL died at 2:38 pm Friday, Feb. 17, 2006 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield. He was born Feb. 2, 1925 in Easton the son of Albert J.and Augusta Kreiling Krause, Sr. He married Alice Wallbaum March 15, 1953 in Havana and she survives.

Also surviving are one son, Kraig Krause of Easton and one daughter, Mrs. James (Ann) Ament of Bloomington, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Krause was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Havana; a veteran of the Korean War serving in the US Army, a member of Havana Post #6408 VFW; President of the Farmers Elevator of Biggs and Easton; Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Community Bank of Easton; a director of the Central Special Drainage District; past director of Mason County Service Company, a past 4-H leader and was active in the Mason County Extension Program. He farmed in the Easton area his entire life.

Services will be held on Monday, Feb. 20, 2006 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Havana, the Pastor Martin W. Liebmann officiating with burial in the Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana. Visitation will be held from 4 until 7 pm Sunday at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Mason District Hospital Cardiac Rehab. Unit; St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or the Mason City Area Nursing Home.
