Alfred Mangold (1923-2007) Alfred Mangold, 84 of Mason City died at 11:18pm Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield. He was born May 16, 1923 the son of Ralph and Gertrude (Ray) Mangold in rural Mason City. He married Shirley Beauchamp in 1947 at the Greenview Presbyterian Church, she survives.
Survivors along with his wife Shirley are, one daughter: Kim (Gary) Cross of Heyworth; three grandchildren; one brother Ray Mangold of California and one sister Virginia Johnson of Springfield.
Mr Mangold graduated from Mason City High School; he was a farmer, a member of the Mason County Farm Bureau and Ducks Unlimited.
Services will be at 11:00am Friday, November 30, 2007 at Hurley Funeral Home. Rev. Randy Paine will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30-11:00, burial at Richmond Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be left to Mason County 4-H. Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City is in charge of arrangements. Online memorials for the family may be left at www.hurleyobits.com
