Alice Marie DeVore 1928 - 2007 Alice Marie DeVore, 79, of Easton, died at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield at 1:35 a.m. on Tuesday, December 18, 2007. She was born September 4, 1928 in Canton, IL to William Edgar and Mary Jane (Hendee) Burbridge. She married Earl Robert DeVore on October 29, 1949 in Havana. He preceded her in death on December 5, 1977. Mrs. DeVore is survived by four sons: Bob (Kathie) DeVore of Lincoln, IL, Ken (Bev) DeVore and Danny (Sandy) DeVore both of Easton, and Mike (Lynn) DeVore of Milton, FL, eleven grandchildren, and twenty great-grandchildren. Also surviving are several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one infant sister and one grandson: Christopher Polk. Mrs. DeVore was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Havana where she had served as the head of the children’s nursery for several years. Funeral services will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana on Friday, December 21, 2007at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to services. Rev. Walter Yeager will officiate. Entombment will follow the services at Laurel Hill Mausoleum in Havana. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Online memorial messages may be left for the family at www.hurleyfh.com.
