Havana, IL - Alta G. Kinner, 94, of Havana, IL passed away at 5:25 pm Thurs., Oct. 5, 2006 at the Lewis Memorial Christian Nursing Home in Springfield, IL. She was born Oct. 26, 1911 in Barclay, IL the daughter of Thomas and Margaret Jones Farnsworth. She married Verdie A. Kinner August 26, 1937 in Springfield, IL and he preceded her in death Jan. 16, 1989.

Mrs. Kinner was a 60 year member of the First United Methodist Church in Havana.

She is survived by one sister, Dorothy Jurgens of Arthur, IL; several nieces, nephews, great nieces,great nephews great great nephews and great great nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one son, Richard.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, Oct. 9, 2006 at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana conducted by Rev. Robert Shook. Burial will be in the Laurel Hill Cemetery at Havana.
