Anna B. Hulfachor
1917 - 2010

Anna Blanche Hulfachor, 93, of Petersburg , passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Menard Convalescent Center . She was born on February 19, 1917 in Springfield, IL to Arthur Levi and Frankie Tipton Smith. She married Everett Burton Hulfachor in Springfield in 1945, he preceded her in death in 1983.
She is survived by two children; a son, David Everett (wife Donna) Hulfachor of Athens and a daughter, Lee Ann Janise (husband George) Woods of Athens, four grandchildren; Meghan and Ashleen Woods, Danielle Hulfachor, and Rebecca Kastelic, two great grandchildren; Steven Hulfachor and Declan (Woods) Emerick. She is also survived by two brothers; Arthur Lee Smith of Mechanicsburg and William Roy (wife Margaret) Smith of Cantrall, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband and one brother, Arol “Fig” David Smith.
Before Anna was married she worked at a factory in Evansville , Indiana helping assemble P-47 fighters during WWII.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. at the Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg . Visitation will be held on Monday, September 20, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. Burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery .
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Childrens Hospital .
