Anna Davidson

(1916 - 2011)

Anna Elizabeth W. Davidson, 94, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2011 at 7:00 a.m. at Sunny Acres Home. She was born on September 8, 1916 in Greenview to John R. and Katherine Evers Winkelmann. She married Robert J. Davidson on November 28, 1957; he preceded her in death on May 12, 1983.

A sister, Helen Doyen of Petersburg, and several nieces and nephews survive her.

She graduated from Brown’s Business College. She worked as a secretary at Park Sherman in Springfield, Menard County Extension, and Menard County SWCD.

Anna was an avid bowler and participated in leagues for many years, and was active in Ladies Aid.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 25, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Petersburg. Pastor Jeffrey Gross will be officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. till 6:00 p.m. at Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg, and also one hour prior to the funeral service on Friday at the church. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
