Annabelle Cloninger 1918 - 2009 Annabelle Cloninger, 91, of Chandlerville, passed away at 9:02 a.m. at Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville on Wednesday, November 04, 2009. She was born October 2, 1918 in Cass County to Ralph and Hilma (Turner) Cook. She married James W. Cloninger on November 21, 1936 in Virginia, IL. Mrs. Cloninger is survived by one son, William (Charlotte) Cloninger, of Chandlerville, two grandsons, Todd (Delana) Cloninger of Chandlerville and Chad (Barb) Cloninger of Metamora, as well as six great-grandchildren, Raya, Ross, Chelsea, Nolan, Maggie and Will Cloninger. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother, Russell Cook and sister Lucille Reed. Mrs. Cloninger was a member of the Chandlerville Christian Church, where she taught and played the piano in the Sunday School, Chandlerville Women’s Club, Royal Neighbors and Home Extension. She retired from the State of Illinois in 1980, where she had worked for 20 years. She lived a long and full life. Funeral services will be held at the Chandlerville Christian Church on Friday, November 6, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow the services at Chandlerville Cemetery. Rev. Jim Waterman will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to her church or the food pantry.
