Anna Lou McGrew

1927 -2011

Anna Lou McGrew, 83, of Havana, passed away at her home at 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, February 20, 2011. She was born August 22, 1927 in Havana, to Fred C. and Mabel (Dierker) Euteneuer. She married John H. “Corky” McGrew in September 1949. He preceded her in death on January 26, 2011.

Mrs. McGrew is survived by her son Mark McGrew and his partner, Daniel Matson of Glendale, CO. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Mrs. McGrew was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Havana where she was a member of the Ladies Aide Society. She had graduated from Havana High School and attended McMurray College in Jacksonville. She was later employed by Euteneuer and McGrew Insurance Co. in Havana.

Funeral services will be held at her church at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 22, 2011. Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Monday evening at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana. Burial will follow the services at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana. Rev. Martin W. Liebmann will officiate.
