Deloris Ann Boyer 1937 - 2008
Deloris Ann Boyer, 70, of Bath, IL, passed away at 10:45 p.m. at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield on Saturday, April 12, 2008. She was born December 6, 1937 in Lincoln, IL to Oliver E. and Versie (Creason) Richardson. She married Clinton “Doc” Boyer on December 26, 1956 in Chandlerville, IL. He preceded her in death on June 6, 2007. Mrs. Boyer is survived by three children, Cathy (David) Julius of Rolla, MO; Kevin Boyer of Havana, IL and Carol (Danny) Gallagher of Athens, IL; nine grandchildren: Jenni Gaub, Michael Witt, Alicia Lewis, Klint Boyer, Brett Driver, Klayton Boyer, Abigail Gallagher, Kassie Boyer and Asher Gallagher; two great grandchildren: Meaghan Boyer and Morgan Albert. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and four brothers, John Edward, Joe, George and Chubby Richardson and one half brother, James Richardson. Mrs. Boyer was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church at Bath. She had worked for over 20 years at Mason District Hospital in Havana retiring as Dietary Director. Funeral services will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 15, 2008. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services at Bath Cemetery. Rev. Vince French will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Lung Association.
