Havana, IL – Arlene E. Walker, 94, of Havana passed away at 5:43 am Sunday Nov. 27, 2011 at the Havana Healthcare Center. She was born January 8, 1917 in Marietta,IL the daughter of Paul and Ethel M. (Hart) Bonnett. She married Ivan Walker Oct. 30, 1935 in Cuba and he preceded her in death January 6, 1998.

Mrs. Walker was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Havana for many years where she taught Sunday School for 40 years and played the piano and accordion for services. She and her husband owned and operated Walker's Jewelery Store in Havana for 55 years from 1945 until 2000.

She is survived by two sons; Richard (Carol) Walker and Kenneth (Linda) Walker both of Havana, 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother, Arnold Bonnett and one sister, Doris Porter.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana conducted by Rev. Sidney Davis. Burial will follow in the Marietta Cemetery at Marietta, IL. Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Assembly of God Church in Havana.
