Arleen June Schafer-Conn

Arleen June Schafer-Conn, 80, of Springfield, died on Sunday, October 21, 2007 at 7:12 pm at her residence. She was born on July 6, 1927 in Tallula to Otto and Arminda Bitters Schafer. She married Jesse Conn on April 23, 1963 in Mexico.

She is survived by two children, Crystal (Mike) Rutherford of Springfield, and Loretta Schafer of Brendel, NC; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Four brothers, three sisters, and her husband preceded her in death.

She was a homemaker, she had also worked at Caterpillar and co-owned Dorleen’s Gift & Candle Shop in Petersburg, with Doris Schafer.. She was a member of the Full Gospel Tabernacle in Lorain, OH.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2007 at 11:00 am at the Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the funeral service. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
