Arthur A. Arveson (1910 - 2005) Arthur A. Arveson, 95, of Petersburg, died September 20, 2005 at 10:55 am at Sunny Acres Home. He was born January 3, 1910 to Arthur and Louise Henshaw Arveson. He married Shirley Simon on December 16, 1946 in Anderson, IN. She survives. He retired after 44 yrs in the motion picture business. He was a film buyer for Kerasotes Theatres over the last 16 yrs. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Petersburg, Lifetime member of the Elks Lodge #1043 in Woodstock, IL, and the Kiwanis Club of Petersburg. He is survived by his wife, Shirley, two sons, Philip Arveson of Milwaukee, WI, Rev. Arthur Arveson of Hartford, WI; two daughters, Linda Arveson of Atlanta, GA, Sharon (Timothy) McGarvey of Grand Rapids, MI; 17 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Services were held on September 23, 2005 at 11 am at the Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg. Rev. Robert Shook presided. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice. |
