Beatrice Bearce

(1916-2011)

Beatrice Bearce, 95 of San Jose, died at 7:40pm on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at Mason City Area Nursing Home.  She was born on February 11, 1916 the daughter of Bruce and Mae (Wilson) Shipp in Lewistown.  She married Clearance Bearce in Havana in 1935; he died in March of 1971.

Survivors are two sons: Dwayne (Bonnie) Bearce of San Jose, Raymond Bearce of Dunlap.  Also surviving are seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by one son, two brothers and one sister.

Mrs. Bearce was a member of the San Jose Christian Church; she also worked for San Jose Grade School for many years.

Funeral services will be at 11:00am, Saturday, June 4, 2011 at the San Jose Christian Church, Pastors Conely Stevenson and Allen Payne will officiate.  Visitation will be one hour prior to service.  Memorials can be left to Alzheimer’s Association, Breast Cancer Research or San Jose Christian Church.  Hurley Funeral Home in San Jose is in charge of arrangements
