Bernice F. Hackman Palash 88 of 1250 W. Carl Sandburg Dr. Galesburg, IL. died on February 6, 2005 at 4:05 p.m. at Rosewood Care Center in Galesburg. She was born on January 18, 1907 in Havana, IL. to Rudolf Hackman and Mabel Elizabeth Harsman. She married Harold Palash on October 7, 1973 in Springfield, IL. he survives.

She has one step daughter- Frances Peague of Des Plaines, IL. and three step-grandchildren. One brother Delbert (Doris) Hackman of Havana, IL. two nieces and 2 nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Havana, Association for the Blind, Charitable Endeavor, and Associate Member Altar Guild. She worked as a Homemaker in her own home.

Services were held on February 10, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, with a visitation from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday, February 10 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
