Betty L. Benshoff

1940-2011

Betty L. Benshoff, 71, of Mason City, passed away at Memorial Medical Center on December 16, 2011.  Betty was born on March 11, 1940 in Herrin, Illinois to Leslie and Elizabeth (Powers) Murray.  She married John W. Benshoff on February 15, 1957, he preceded her in death.

Betty is survived by her two children; Rocky (Jean) Benshoff of Mason City and Holly (Mark) Danley of New Holland.   She is also survived by ten grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren, one brother; Les Murray of St. Louis and one sister; Dessie (Mike) Bagget of Clarksville, TN.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister and one daughter.

Betty retired after 30 years of working as a CNA. 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at 12:00 pm at Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City.  Visitation will begin two hours prior to the funeral service at 10:00 am.  Burial will be at the Mason City Cemetery following the services.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Flag Fund.  Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City is in charge of the arrangements.
