Harvey William "Bill" Hardesty 1935 - 2008 Havana, IL - Harvey William "Bill" Hardesty, 73, of Havana passed away at 11:10 am Fri., April 18, 2008 at the Havana Healthcare Center. He was born Jan. 20, 1935 in Ft. Wayne, IN the son of Edwin A. and Rose Crane Hardesty. He married Wilma K. Bishop Blessman Nov. 17, 2001 in Canton, IL and she survives. Mr. Hardesty was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Havana and the Canton Fisherman’s Club. He worked many years as a field engineer retiring in 1989. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daugher, Tammy Hardesty of Chicago, one son, Tom Hardesty of Chicago, six step children, and numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. Services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Havana conducted by Pastor Martin W. Liebmann, Jr. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery near Bath, IL. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at his church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Mason District Hospital or the Havana Healthcare Center. Hurley Funeral Home in Havana is in charge of arrangements.
