Billy Walker

Billy Walker, 82, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, died on June 23, 2006 at his residence. He was born September 27, 1923 in Menard County, IL to Ora and Dollie Prescott Walker. he married Judith Baker in Jamestown, NY on July 24, 1954.

He is survived by his wife, three daughters, DeEtte (Christopher) Whiteman of St. James, NY, Annette Walker of Phoenix, Arizona, Deanna Walker of Phoenix, Arizona; two grandchildren; and one sister, Roberta (Glen) Clark of Petersburg.

He retired after 40 yrs as an electrician for the Radio City Music Hall in New York. 

He was a member of the Local Stagehand Union #68 in Springfield, and he was an active member of the Athens Christian Church.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 30, 2006 at 11:00 am at the Athens Christian Church. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 29, 2006 at the Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg from 6:00 pm till 8:00 pm. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Springfield, IL.
