Blanche I. Buss

(1926-2010)

Blanche I. (Hill) Buss, 84 of Springfield died at 11:40pm on August 10, 2010 at the Lewis Memorial Christian Village in Springfield.  She was born on June 22, 1926 the daughter of Floyd and Daisy (Duncan) Wilkens in Grayson County, KY.  She married Earnest Hill in February 1945; he preceded her in death in 1988. 

Survivors are two sons: Jim (Nancy) Hill of Sherman, Rodger (Pauly) Hill of Marquette, MI; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. 

Mrs. Buss was a member and very active, in the Assembly of God Church in Mason City, Hairdressers Affiliation of Lincoln, The Kitchen Band of Sangamon Towers, was a cosmetic dealer for Vivian Woodard, owned and operated Blanche’s Beauty Salon in Greenview. 

Visitation will be from 10-11 and services will be at 11:00am on August 14, 2010 at the Assembly of God Church in Mason City, Pastor James Sprinkel will officiate.  Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Greenview.  Memorials can be made to her churches building fund.  Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City is in charge of arrangements.
