1927 - 2008

Robert Bruce Pike, 80, of Havana, IL passed away at 8:20 am Thurs., April 17, 2008 at his residence. He was born June 26, 1927 in Tallula, IL the son of Haskell C. and Mary Bault Pike. He married C. Marcella Smith Sept. 4, 1948 in Springfield, IL and she survives.

Mr. Pike was an avid hunter and member of the United Commercial Travelers Association. He was a truck driver most of his life working for West Foods in Petersburg. He also was the Standard Oil Agent in Petersburg and later worked for Nelson Oil Company.

In addition to his wife he is survived by three grandchildren, Jennifer (Matt) O’Brien; Stacie (Ryan) Marcum and Ryan Bruce Pike; three great great grandsons and one great great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by one son, Wayne; four brothers, one sister and his parents.

Services will be held at 10:30 am Monday at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana conducted by Pastor John Nelson with burial will in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Petersburg. Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 6:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Hospice System.
