Arthur Junior "Bud" Ward 1931 - 2007 Arthur Junior “Bud” Ward, 75, of Bath, IL died at Graham Hospital in Canton, IL at 7:12 p.m. on Friday, September 28, 2007. He was born October 9, 1931 in Lynchburg Twp. to Arthur and Marie (Butler) Ward. He married Linda Flowers at the Nazarene Church in Havana on March 24, 1956. Mr. Ward is survived by his wife Linda, of Bath, one daughter: Terri Ward of Bath and two sons: David G. Ward of Bath and Brian (Melody) Ward of Havana, four grandchildren: Michelle, Adam, Parker and Carson Ward, three great-grandchildren: Victoria, Kathryn and Olivia Ward; three sisters: Wanda Richardson of Bath, Laura Belle McDaniel of Kilbourne, Verda Flowers of Curryville, MO and two brothers: William Ward of Farmington and Wayland Ward of Trivoli. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister: Alice Neuschwanger and one brother: Charles Ward. Mr. Ward served in the U.S. Army in Korea as a M.P. He worked at Caterpillar in Mapleton for 33 ˝ years retiring in 1981. He later worked at F/S during the summers. He was a member of U.A.W. #974, and was a lifetime member of V.F.W. Post #6408 in Havana. He was a former Town Trustee in Bath, member of the Bath Fire Department for many years and a member of the IL Duck and Goose Association. Funeral services will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana on Monday, October 1, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 5 – 7 p.m. Rev. Vince French will officiate. Burial will follow the services at Bath Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
