Karl B. "Bud" Wolters 1940 - 2006
Topeka, IL - Karl B. "Bud" Wolters, 66 of rural
Topeka, passed away at 8:14 am Fri. Dec., 1, 2006 at his residence. He was
born Oct. 29, 1940 in Havana the son of Karl F. and Bernice Arundale Wolters.
He married Colleen Friedrich April 19, 1995 in Topeka and she survives.
Karl worked at Caterpillar, Inc for many years as an inspector retiring in 1996. He also farmed in both Mason and Fulton Counties. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited, Matanza Gun Club, Central Gun Club, Mason County Farm Bureau, the irrigated growers and the First United Methodist Church in Havana. He was a US Navy veteran, he had served as a medic for the Marine Corps. He is survived by two step daughters, Shelly Wallace of Havana and Catherine Baye Wallace of Anoka, MN; one step great granddaughter, Lily; one sisters, Mary C. (Melvin) Roos of Havana and three nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew. Services will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church in Havana conducted by Rev. Robert Smith. Burial will be in the Laurel Hill Cemetery at Havana. Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 pm Monday at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana. Memorial contributions may be made to Duck’s Unlimited, Mason County EMTs, or the American Heart Association.
