Carl R. Wilcoxson (1922-2008) Carl R. Wilcoxson Sr. originally from Easton, Illinois, died at the Havana Health Care in Havana, Illinois. He was 85 years old. Carl was born, November 15, 1922 in Green County Kentucky, a son of Ora and Ida (Judd) Wilcoxson. He married Carol Oller on June 10, 1946 in Mt. Pulaski, IL; she died May 13, 2005. Carl was a World War 2 veteran and was a life member of both the Mason City American Legion Post 496 and the Havana V.F.W. Post 6408. He was a member of the Mason City Farm Bureau for over 50 years. He was a salesman for Mason County F.S. (Farm Supply) and a farmer for almost 38 years, retiring in 1984. He was a member of the Magnolia Valley Golf and Civic Association in New Port Richey, FL. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Topeka, IL, and was Scout Cub Master for Troop #177 in Mason City. Carl Was proceeded in death by three brothers, Garnett, Luther “Tom”, Lester, and one sister, Kathleen (Louis) Riddell. Surviving are four sons, Carl Jr. (Carolyn) of Knoxville, IL, Bruce (Eva) of Havana, IL, Aaron (Patricia) and David (Lynn) both of Easton, IL, one brother Haskell “Hack” of Mason City, IL, and nine grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 12, 2008 from 6-8 at Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City. Services will be 11:00am, Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at Hurley Funeral Home and Military Honors will be accorded. Memorials may be left to St. John’s Lutheran Church.
