Carol R. Wilcoxson

(1927-2005)

Carol Wilcoxson of New Port Richie, Florida; formerly of Easton, died 11:45 p.m. Friday, 13 May 2005 in West Pasco Care Center, New Port Richie, Florida.  She was born 21 October 1927 to Nelson and Edna (Baker) Oller in Taylorville, IL.  On 10 May 1946 she married Carl Wilcoxson in Mt. Pulaski, IL. 

Survivors include her husband, 4 sons:  Carl Jr. (wife, Carolyn) Wilcoxson of Knoxville, IL; Bruce (wife, Eva) Wilcoxson of Havana, IL; Aaron (wife, Patricia) Wilcoxson of Easton, IL; David (wife, Lynn) Wilcoxson of Easton, IL; 9 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: James and Don Oller. 

Mrs. Wilcoxson owned and operated a beauty salon in rural Easton for 10 years.  She retired from the State of Illinois in 1989 after 20 years of service.  She was a member of the Magnolia Valley Golf and Civic Association in New Port Richie, Florida.  She was also a Den Mother of Troop #177 Den #2 in Mason City, IL. 

Services for Mrs. Wilcoxson will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, 19 May 2005 at Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City, IL.  The Rev. Earl Kinnee will be officiating with burial in Mason City Cemetery.  A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 Wednesday at the funeral home in Mason City.  Memorial Contributions may be made to the St. John's Lutheran Church of Topeka.
