Carolyn "Jiannoni" Whitehurst 1949 - 2008
Carolyn “Jiannoni” Whitehurst, 58, of Petersburg, died on Monday, April 7, 2008 at 3:55 p.m. at Memorial Medical Center. She was born on April 16, 1949 in Springfield to Joseph and Wilma Price Jiannoni. She married Steve Whitehurst on January 28, 2006 in Las Vegas. She is survived by her husband, Steve of Petersburg; two sons, Jeff (Angie) Jiannoni of Petersburg and Joshua Jiannoni of Springfield; two step daughters, Keri Johnson of Petersburg and Lisa (Derek) Litchfield of Macomb; a step son, Brian Whitehurst of Springfield; six grandchildren, Jayden, Marissa, and Dane Jiannoni, and Christian Amber, and Skyler Johnson, all of Petersburg; her stepmother, Martha Jiannoni of Springfield; one brother, Michael (Tracey) Jiannoni of LaQuinta, CA; a sister, Gena (Jeff) Sinclair of Petersburg; two half brothers, Tony and Daniel Jiannoni of Springfield; and a half sister, Tina Centola of Springfield. Her parents preceded her in death. Mrs. Whitehurst had worked as an LPN for many years. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg. Rev. David Daniel will be officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 11, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial of ashes will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Research Hospital.
