Charles Lynn Wilson 1941 - 2007
Charles Lynn Wilson, 66, of Havana, passed away at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, at 4:00 a.m. on Friday, November 23, 2007. He was born on April 7, 1941 in Taylorville, IL to Charles Isaac and Volta F. (Stambaugh) Wilson. He married Mildred I. Rebman on January 21, 1961 in Rushville, IL. Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife, Mildred of Havana, two sons: Charles Edward (Linda) Wilson and Danny Scott (Christina) Wilson, both of Havana, and two daughters: M. Jean (Rick) Hardy of Petersburg, IL and Georgine (Jason) Bastien of Washington, IL and ten grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, Jack Burns of Texas and one step-brother, Guy Stambaugh of Havana. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Wilson attended church at the Havana Assembly of God Church. He was a former tug boat pilot and a union steward at the coal docks in Havana. Funeral services will be held at the Havana Assembly of God Church on Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana on Monday evening. Burial will follow the services at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana. Rev. Paul Homan will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to his church.
