Charlotte S. Hodgson

1936 - 2010

Charlotte S. Hodgson, 74, of Oakford, passed away at her home at 8:45 a.m. on Thursday, June 3, 2010. She was born March 29, 1936 in Spokane, Washington to Harvey and Charlotte (Rider) Spencer.  She married John Hodgson on August 2, 1952 in Spokane.

Mrs. Hodgson is survived by her husband, John, of Oakford, two sons, John (Angie) Hodgson Jr., of Havana, Joel (Linda) Hodgson of The Woodlands, TX, three grandchildren, Joshua, Lucas and Erika Hodgson, two step grandchildren Terry Crivea and Kelli Lovell and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Clara Harpole, two brothers, Harvey W.H. Spencer, Norman Spencer and one son Brad Stephen Hodgson.

Mrs. Hodgson was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Havana. She had served on the Havana Public Library Board and was a member of Mason County Home Extension. She had worked for the State of Illinois, Hardwood Lumber, Prater’s Grocery and most recently, the Mason County Health Department.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Havana at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 with Fr. Michael Monclova officiating. Burial will follow the services at Bethel Cemetery near Bath.
