Cheryl Ann Best

1959 - 2011

Cheryl Ann Best, 51, of Virginia, passed away at 4:40 a.m. on Sunday, September 25, 2011 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. She was born November 26, 1959 to Howard E. and Marilyn (Williamson) Fosdyck.

Cheryl is survived by two sons, Jeremy (Sandy) Fosdyck, Darren Best Jr., daughter, Alyssa (fiancée – William Foraker) Christie, all of Springfield, five grandchildren, five brothers, Rodney (Ann) Fosdyck, Darryl (Kim) Fosdyck, Larry (Phyllis) Fosdyck, Randy Fosdyck and Joe (Karmen) Fosdyck. Also surviving is her longtime significant other, Mike Ryan of Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Anthony Fosdyck.

Cheryl held and Associates Degree from Robert Morris College in Springfield and had always worked in the food service industry. She had achieved her two dreams in life by owning a Ford Mustang and owning her own restaurant, Cheryl’s Best Café in Chandlerville. Prior to the café in Chandlerville, she had operated Cheryl’s Chop Shop in Virginia. She enjoyed listening to Elvis and watching hummingbirds.

Visitation will be held at Lintner-Hurley Funeral Home in Chandlerville on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will also be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow the services at Chandlerville Cemetery. Rev. Jim Waterman will officiate.
