Charles E. "Chuck" Bryant

1948 - 2011

Athens, IL – Charles E. “Chuck” Bryant, 62, of Athens passed away at 11:35 pm Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at the Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. He was born April 16, 1948 in Fayetteville, West Virginia the son of Charles R. and Lelia Hildebrand Bryant. He Married Donna A. Brown July 25, 1985 in Fayetteville, WV and she survives.

Mr. Bryant was a retired foreman for the C and IM Railroad.

In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters; Cindy Eller and Debbie Bryant both of Springfield, one son Tim Higginbotham of Havana; three grandchildren; Leslie Eller, Michael Eller and Ethan Bryant and one great grandson, James Richard. Also surviving are three brothers; Mike and John Bryant of Athens, IL and Bruce (Shirley) Bryant of Chatham; two sisters; Wilma (David) Crowley of Champaign, IL and Karen Fox of Athens.

Cremation rites will be accorded. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Benedictine University of Springfield. Hurley Funeral Home in Havana is in charge of arrangements.
