Cecilia M. Koplenik
1914 - 2006 Havana, IL - Cecilia M. Koplenik, 91, of Havana formerly of LaSalle, IL passed away at 11:00 am Sunday, Sept. 17, 2006 at the Mason District Hospital in Havana. She was born Dec. 5, 1914 in LaSalle the daughter of Frank and Mary Golnik Sroka. Mrs. Koplenik was a member of St. Hyacinth Catholic Church in LaSalle and had worked for many years for Westcox retiring in 1976. She is survived by one daughter, Sharon (Duane) Ivey of Havana; one son, Gil (Pat) Koplenik of Temple Terrace, FL; seven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one brother, Ben Sroka of LaSalle and two sisters, Florence McNeill of Surprise, AZ and Bette Burrows of Robinsdale, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister. Services will be held at 11:00 am Thurs., Sept. 21, 2006 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Havana conducted by Father Stephen Engelbrecht. Burial will be at a later date in the St. Hyacinth Cemetery in LaSalle, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to the Havana Health Care Residence fund or the Mason District Hospital Foundation.
