Connie S. Morton

Havana, IL - Connie S. Morton, 54, of 18455 Quiver Beach Road, Havana passed away at 10:45 pm Fri. Aug. 25, 2006 at her residence. She was born Aug. 21, 1952 in Canton, IL the daughter of Robert and Dorothy Goodman Chown. She married Steven Morton Jan. 8, 1971 in Havana and he survives.

Mrs. Morton was a member of the Havana Church of Christ and worked for 18 years as a housekeeper at Havana Healthcare Center.

She is survived by two daughters, Tana (John) Wiesehan of Dunlap, IL and Tiffany Neely of Havana; four grandchildren, Josh, Larissa, Dakota and Hunter; two sisters, Bonnie (Steve) Bennett of Port Orchard, Washington and Barb (Jerry) Williamson of Havana and two brothers, Albert (Lupe) Chown of Moline, IL and Robert (Chris) Chown of Topeka, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wed. Aug. 20, 2006 at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana conducted by Warren Hughes. Burial will be in the Laurel Hill Cemetery at Havana. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home (From 10:00 until 11:00 am). Memorial contributions may be made to the Spoon River Hospice.
