Courtney Lyn Thomas

(1971-2010)

Courtney Lyn Thomas, 39, of Mason City, IL, passed away surrounded by her family on October 26, 2010, following a courageous 2-year battle with cancer.  Courtney was born in Lincoln, IL on September 8, 1971 to Larry and Lori Means Thomas. 

Survivors include her mother and step-father, Lori and Marion Combs, of Mason City and father and step-mother Larry and Alayna Thomas, of Brazil, IN.  Courtney was the proud mother of twin daughters, Hillarry Joel and Mallori Autumn Thomas, of Mason City, IL.  She is also survived by sisters, Autumn Thomas, of Lincoln, IL, Rachael and Chelsea Thomas, of Brazil, IN, and brother Joel (Melissa) Thomas, of Mason City, IL, Step-brother, Blake Combs of Macomb, IL, and step-sisters, Laura Combs, of Algonquin, IL, and Melanie Combs, of Macomb, IL.  Also surviving is paternal grandmother, Betty Dodson, uncles, nieces and a nephew. 

Courtney was a member of the First Christian Church of Mason City, IL.  She was an avid Cardinal Fan.  She was a graduate of Mason City High School, a 2007 graduate of Benedictine University in Springfield. 

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 29, 2010 at the Mason City Christian Church officiated by Pastor Joe Briseno at 10:30 a.m.  Burial will be at Mason City Cemetery.  Visitation we be held at Hurley Funeral Home on Thursday, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.  Memorial may be made to Hillarry and Mallori Thomas, in care of the Mason City National Bank.
