Cynthia Kay Usher

1957 - 2009

Cynthia Kay Usher, 52, of Havana, passed away at OSF – St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria at 2:27 p.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2010. She was born February 11, 1957 in Canton, IL to James Ora and Shirley Jean (Wilkinson) Oldham.

Mrs. Usher is survived by her mother, Shirley Servis of Havana and three sons, John Wrestler, Gary (Shelly) Eveland and Nathan Eveland, all of Havana. Also surviving are three granddaughters, Andrea Wrestler, Chloe Eveland and Hannah Eveland, all of Havana, as well as, two sisters, Mary (Harvey) Johnson of Canton and Karen (Jeff) Cooper of Decatur. She was preceded in death by her father and one sister, Sheryl Layton.

Mrs. Usher was a member of the Havana Central Christian Church and a former member of the Havana Jaycees. She had worked as the director of the Mason County Housing Authority in Havana for several years.

Funeral services will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana on Monday, January 11, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the services. Rev. Dennis Steckley will officiate.
