Danny L. Woods 1951 - 2007
Danny L. Woods, 56, of Bluffs, IL died at Passavant Hospital in Jacksonville, IL at 4:36 p.m. on November 28, 2007. He was born March 21, 1951 in Guymon, OK to Forrest and Joanne (Ruby) Woods. He married Belle Hardy in Tulsa, OK on October 7, 1978. Mr. Woods is survived by his wife and soul mate Belle whom he was married to for 29 years in a marriage made in heaven. He is also survived by his mother, Joanne Tolley of Ridgefield, Washington; daughter: Leighanna (Mike) Woods-Fendler of Bluffs; step mother: Phyllis Woods, step-mother-in-law, Rayann Hardy of Havana, sister-in-law: Billie (Adam) Wright of Havana, 2 nieces: Desirae and Destiny Behymer of Havana. He is survived by 3 sisters: Janis Wilson of Olympia, WA, Debbie Reasoner of Mollalah, OR, Vickie Cain of Houston, TX, three brothers: Dean (Kim) Woods of Houston, TX, Darryl (Candy) Woods of Anchorage, Alaska, Darren Woods of Olathe, KS, two brothers: Joseph Tolley of Valdeze, AK, David Tolley of Anchorage, AK and one sister: Patricia Tolley-Aaron of Forney, TX, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and his in-laws: William and Lulubelle Hardy. Mr. Woods was a born again Christian and a member of the Church of the New Song in Bluffs. He loved music and enjoyed playing six stringed acoustics and electric bass in church. He had worked as a pipeline radiographer, a writer for the Pekin Times, Pepsi Co., Crescent Forge in Havana, Capital Records-EMI in Jacksonville, most recently for Mobile/Pactiv and his home based Watkins business. Funeral services will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation two hours prior to the services. Burial will follow the services at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana. Revs. Jim and Ann Windsor will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
