Darin A. Dearing 1966 - 2008
Darin A. Dearing, 41, of Springfield, died on Thursday, April 3, 2008 at 8:30 a.m. at his residence. He was born on September 1, 1966 in Havana, to Clyde and Nancy Eilks Dearing. He married Brooke Cox. He is survived by his wife, Brooke of Pekin; a son Nathan Dearing of Pekin; a daughter, Kaitlyn Dearing of Pekin; his mother, Nancy (Bill) Mangold of Springfield; one sister, Julie (Dan) Atterberry of O’Fallon, IL; a brother, Brad (Jackie) Dearing of Bloomington; and three nieces, Sarah and Ellen Atterberry of O’Fallon; and Laura Dearing of Bloomington. His father and grandparents preceded him in death. Mr. Dearing had been a welder. He attended 1st Assembly of God Church in Pekin. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool, bicycling, and walking. He loved animals and children. He was loved by all. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 7, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at 1st Baptist Church in Petersburg. Pastor Stan Summers will be officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 6, 2008 from 4:00 pm till 6:00 pm at the Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg. Burial will be Rose Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions made to American Heart Association or to the American Kidney Foundation.
