Delbert M. Lippert
1922 - 2006
He attended the Assembly of God Church in Havana where he was very active. He served in the US Army in the Pacific Theater during WWII. He was a lifetime member of the National VFW.
Mr. Lippert worked for Dana Corp. in Havana for many years until they closed and then he drove a school bus for Havana School district until he retired in June of 2003.
He is survived by three sons, Alan (Pam) Lippert of Pekin, IL; John Lippert of Havana; and Bob (Ruth) Lippert of Havana; two daughters, Cathy (Steve) Jones of Lincoln, IL and Becky (Joe) Anderson of Davenport, IA. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, three great grandchildren and one sister, Helen (Bill) Blair of Petersburg, IL. He was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.
Services will be held at 11:00 am Friday at the Havana Assembly of God Church conducted by Rev. Paul Homan. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at his church (from 9:00 am until 11:00 am). Burial will be in the Laurel Hill Cemetery at Havana.
