Delores Hedden

1929 - 2010

Delores Hedden went to be with the Lord on March 24, 2010 at 1:27 p.m. at OSF-St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born August 26, 1929 in rural Mason County to Louis and Zannia (McCubbin) Hardy. She married Thomas Hedden, September 3, 1949 in Havana. He preceded her in death on July 30, 2002.

Surviving are two sons, Michael (Lynn) Hedden of Cuba, IL, Douglas Hedden of Havana, three grandchildren, Joseph, Sarah, Danielle, one great granddaughter, Tesa and nephew, Leroy Hardy. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four brothers, two half brothers and three half sisters.

She was a member of the Assembly of God Church of Havana. She served forty plus years as Sunday School teacher, taught Bible School and Children’s Church. She served as board member, secretary-treasurer and bookkeeper.

She devoted her life to her family and church. She loved camping and traveling.

Funeral services will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 29, 2010. Visitation will be held Sunday evening, from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana. Rev. Paul Homan will officiate.
